Appointments

Please call the office to make an appointment in advance. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call us as far in advance as possible so we may use that time to see another patient in need of care. We make a sincere effort to adhere to our appointment schedule and appreciate your patience if we are late due to emergencies or hospital surgery.

Insurance Information

Foot & Ankle Specialists accepts all major insurance plans. For the most complete information regarding Podiatric Medicine and specific insurance plans, the patient should consult their contract or contact our insurance manager.

Medicare assignment is accepted for all medically necessary services. Medicare considers the cutting of nails medically necessary when the patient is in pain, or when certain medical conditions exist requiring a podiatrist to provide such care. Certain metabolic, neurological and peripheral vascular diseases, in conjunction with a systemic condition may create potential harm or injury if, foot care is performed by a family member or unskilled individual.

Common Diagnosis that Support Medical Necessity

  1. Diabetes (insulin or medication controlled) with neuropathy or peripheral vascular disease
  2. Peripheral arteriosclerosis
  3. Multiple sclerosis
  4. Malnutrition
  5. Chronic renal failure

For certain diagnosis, we may need to obtain a signature from an M.D. or D.O. verifying the diagnosis for our files.  A full list of the diagnosis accepted for routine foot care may be made available at your request.

Fees & Payments

We make every effort to decrease the cost of your medical care. Therefore, we request payment arrangements for all office services at the time they are rendered unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover for your convenience. If we are a participating provider of your insurance company, we will bill them. However, payment is the patient's responsibility. We will help in any way we can to assist you in handling claims.

Prescriptions & Renewals

Please request all prescriptions and authorizations for during our regular office hours, when our full records are available. Renewals requested at other times will be filled only for extreme or emergent circumstances.
