

Dr. Couluris has been in practice since 2003 at Foot & Ankle Specialists. He is skilled in all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery. Areas of expertise include Diabetic foot management, wound care, forefoot/midfoot surgical correction of deformities (ie. Bunions, hammertoes, fractures, soft tissue/bone pathology), as well as reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery, arthroscopy, trauma, and internal and external fixation techniques. He is one of a select list of surgeons certified to perform ankle joint replacement.
Dr. Couluris grew up in Long Island, NY. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in the pre-medical program at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. A graduate of California College of Podiatric Medicine (San Francisco), Dr. Couluris is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Having completed a three-year residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC where he served the role as Chief Resident, Dr. Couluris is versed in the newest techniques in podiatric medicine and surgery. His training also included an emphasis on pediatric care and the management of congenital disorders. He is published in various publications in the medical field. Dr Couluris is on staff at most area hospitals in Pinellas and Pasco Counties.
Board Certified in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery as well as foot surgery, Dr. Couluris’ philosophy is to explore every conservative medical option, prior to considering surgery.
